Soul City Ready for More

October 2019

Project Description

Website

Build a website to facilitate the communication and pledging to The 2020 Vision Campaign. The goal is to create a website which clearly communicates to the Soul City Church community, and the public community, what the campaign is and how to get involved. It should clearly communicate the story of the initiative; why are we doing this now? It will answer this question by highlighting the need and giving next steps. The main page would be a one page scroller with all the campaign information in an attractive, on brand layout with clear calls to action.

Website Features
Landing Pages

We believe there should be a landing page for each initiative of the project/feature so we can particularly point people toward those pages. It will also increase the chances of Organic traffic arriving as the campaign goes on. This would be a powerful tool to dive into the why of each portion of the campaign and then give next steps, both giving and, potentially, other actions.

The idea is to create direct marketing pages for content that can be linked from social media or emails which focus around a singular initiative or aspect of the campaign, i.e. devotional. The pages would focus around that particular call to action, have no nav at the top and only allow navigation away from the page near the footer.

Sharing

Give users an easy way to share on the website. This can be via social media or email. We want to take advantage of network effects, ‘people like us do things like this’. We want to give Soul City the tools they need to pass the information along when the time is right.

Social Media Streams

Bring in social media streams to the website to show via hashtags and users how God is stirring via the campaign. Encourage users to get involved, to interact and to be seen on the website as they engage with the campaign and what God is doing.

Calls to Action

All calls to action will be trackable so we can determine who is coming to the website and what they are doing there. This allows for improving weak spots, seeing how changes are impacting traffic and knowing more about the users that are going from spectator to engaged in the mission.

We focus on having a singular direct call to action that the user knows they can interact with. We also encourage what some call transitional calls to action. There is potential here to have the a secondary call to action which gathers information from the user who isn’t ready to commit but the Holy Spirit is stirring them to take some kind of step.

Analytics

All website data is tracked via Analytics, Facebook Pixel and any other pertinent scripts. We like to track as much as possible so we know ‘who’ is coming, what they are clicking on, where they came from, when they came back, if they came from Social media, etc.

About Us

The Sky Floor was founded in 2009 by Alan and Joel Miller with the purpose of creating original designs, custom websites and creative content for businesses and non-profits.

We have had the chance to work with a wide variety of Churches, non-profits and businesses. From Fortune 500 company Pitney-Bowes to local plumbers. We enjoy learning about different organizations and how they run.

We view every element of operating as marketing, as a chance to tell the story of why you do what you do.

Marketing is more than flyers or ads.

It is how your people interact with your customers. It is how your website is designed and functions. It is figuring out the best flow for your space.

In short it is caring about what you do.

We join your team to define and meet these goals.

Our Team

At The Sky Floor there are no sales people. You collaborate directly with your designers and developers. This means you get a consistent approach and realistic expectations. We have different roles but collaborate within our strengths and weaknesses. A two person team dedicated to quality and creativity.

What We Do

Web design is not just about what is trending or cool, it is a collaborative process of creating a welcoming, informative experience which conveys who you are.
1

Discovery

We work with you to learn about your organization. It is important that we understand your goals but also how you work. This allows us to make choices more like a part of your team and not an outside contractor.

2

Design

Using the information from the discovery stage we create 2-3 designs.

After the initial feedback we work with you to generate variations on the designs which result in a polished template for the development stage.

3

Development

Development is taking the designs and making them function in a coded environment. In the case of a CMS we start with the raw html and then hook it into the back end in a way which makes it easy for content creators to understand and update.

4

Measure

After a site is done we monitor the initial impact via analytics. We will use any user feedback and data from analytics to make adjustments to order and layout which will help the user have a good experience.

Website Pricing

Prices are for the project and are fixed. We believe this allows us to work as collaborative team members.
